Engagement sessions are one of my favorite sessions to shoot. The love that the couples bring to the sessions is infectious. It was no different with Meg and Nick. They are so in love and just so silly that it made this session unbelievable. Everything was just perfect! The weather, the sunset, the couple, the location, the makeup and hair and of course the photographer :). When it all comes together like this it’s a photographers dream. The photography Gods were with us that evening.
Meg and Nick will be married on July 26, 2014. Alicia’s Photography will be their official wedding photographer and I couldn’t be more thrilled. If you can’t tell by the images below, the wedding will have a country theme. Meg has definitely captured this cowboys heart and vice versa. These two are so pefect together. During the session Nick would often say “You’re so prrreeeetttttyyyy!” and of course Meg would just melt. I felt so honored to witness such love.
As a Chicago land and western suburban wedding photographer it’s so wonderful to create engagement sessions that fit each couples desires. Meg and Nick really wanted a country feel to their session and I feel like this Oswego location was perfect and yet intimate so they could be comfortable being themselves. Although I don’t think that they ever have a problem being true to themselves! They’re super fun!
Nick can certainly sweep Megan off her feet! Every girls dream.

I love silhouette photography at sunset. Meg and Nick brought many props to their session just so we could have a little fun with them. The results were fantastic! Please remember to bring items to your engagement photo session that will make your pictures perfect for you. Props never have to dominate your images but can definitely add a personal touch.
Hiring a hair and makeup artist for your session is something that all brides should consider for their engagement pictures. Alicia’s Photography has a hair and makeup artist that is phenomenal. Meg used our hair and MUA Renee for her engagement session and loved her so much that she is now using her for herself AND her entire wedding party in July. Trusts me, using Renee will take your session from WOW! to VA VA VOOM!!!
Words can’t describe how happy I am for Meg and Nick. Each of their families are gaining a pretty special in law next year and that’s all you can hope for as a parent. These two are happy! A parents dream.
