White gown, veil, church…these things all sound like wedding bells,
but not quite. This is Miss “K” and she is making a different sacrament – her First Holy Communion!
St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, Illinois is hands-down stunning.
Miss “K” was lucky enough to make her First Communion here at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
In the Catholic faith, receiving your First Holy Communion is one of the several sacraments that Catholics
make throughout their lifetime. Typically, the First Holy Communion sacrament is held
when the child is in second grade, and usually takes place in the month of May.
I have the honor of photographing boys and girls who are receiving their First Holy Communion.
Personally, these are some of my favorite session to do for a few reasons.
First, the time of First Communions are usually May, therefore the flowers are in bloom and
there are blossoming colors all around! Also, because the little ladies and gentleman are dressed
up up their white gowns and miniature tuxes which make them look all grown up!
Miss “K” looked so beautiful in her First Communion gown, and her veil,
along with her super-trendy sock bun completed the outfit!
I have known Miss “K” ever since she was a baby! It is so wonderful to
watch her grow up and see her turn into such a beautiful and charming young lady!
Miss “K” has a sweet personality, and unlike some girls of her age,
she is very outgoing and loves to hold a conversation with anybody!
If you are interested in a First Communion session, keep an open mind of where
you would like the location of your session to be. Some prefer to have it at the church
of which their child is making their First Communion, and others choose to
have it in other locations aside from a church.
I am so excited to congratulate Miss “K” on making her First Communion!
See you soon!
