Since I’m back in the game with my blogging after letting it slide for several years (insert embarrassed face), I think now is a great time to remind everybody of the detail and care that goes into an Alicia’s Photography Senior session. Alicia’s Photography is a leader in the senior photography industry and has been on top of the senior portrait game for 25 years. We pay attention to every detail during the entire senior process. Starting with the very first call that you make to our studio, to the moment that you receive your stunning senior prints and products. We cherish our relationship with each and every one of our seniors and our goal is to make you happy but even more importantly we want you to see the unique beauty that everyone else sees in you. The beauty that you just may not recognize in yourself every day. Trust me, once Alicia’s Photography’s team gets their hands on you for your personal high school senior portrait session, you will feel like a supermodel
Molly D’s day began with one of our beyond talented hair and makeup artists (Delaney Johnson from Samelane fashion). She used only the best products on Molly’s face to make her camera ready for her senior portraits! Molly and her mother were able to choose their own style of makeup in order for her images to reflect her personality. Molly chose a more natural look for her high school senior shoot which was enhanced even more by her beautiful red hair.
(On a side note: We have had the highest number of red heads in our studio this year and it makes me so happy. Growing up as a redhead and not feeling especially beautiful when I was a teen gives me the opportunity to show these girls how absolutely gorgeous and unique they truly are. Oh, how I wish that I had had this opportunity when I was a senior. It quite possibly would have been the confidence boost that I so desperately needed.)
Once Molly’s hair and makeup was ready for her session, we collaborated with Molly and her mother about which outfits will look best for the shoot and which ones match the locations that we have decided upon. Molly and her mother had found the cutest outfits from their favorite Hinsdale clothing boutique so selecting the outfits for each location was a no brainer. After our decisions were made, it was time to start shooting her session! Molly was very comfortable in front of the camera and made capturing the images that showcased her personality so easy. Even though it was winter and cold, Molly was a trooper and made my job easy. I actually like shooting during the cold months of the year here in Naperville and Chicago. There is a beautiful soft grey tone that just enhances the images and makes skin tones even creamier. You would be surprised at how many senior sessions that we do during the winter months. You might think that it is our slow season but it’s not. Winter sessions give our seniors that extra uniqueness that they crave. Teens love to be sure that their portraits are unique from everyone else’s. I think we accomplished that with Molly’s high school senior portraits. What do you think?
