I have been photographing the Dunham family for years now and documenting their beautiful children as they grow into tweens and teens. Over the years, along with family photos, I have also been inadvertently documenting all of the homes that they have built and lived in. Ryan Dunham is a co-owner of Oakley Home Builders and as his family grew and changed so did his home. Every time that Ryan builds a home for himself, I swear that one is my favorite. Well I’m now declaring his most recent home in Glen Ellyn as my favorite! I love this family, and their amazing style. Take a look for yourself.
I mean seriously could this family be more beautiful? Then add the modern / coastal feel of their home and you have the perfect family picture! Can you adopt me Ryan and Jodee? I promise you won’t even notice that I’m around. Well, except for the fact that I would follow you around like your own personal paparazzi 😜.
I am always so excited to see the Dunham family but I have to say that I was absolutely giddy when I entered their Glen Ellyn home and saw this fabulous modern entryway. The leather sofa and the Art made me grab my camera and start shooting. The kids barely had a chance to walk in the door before I was posing them and clicking away. 😂
I love the layered tone on tone feel in this picture (including the kids outfits).
These three truly love each other and are the sweetest souls. Asking them to get close and show some love is not a problem for them. An absolute photographer dream.
As soon as I finished shooting in the entryway, I turned to my left and what did I see? My dream office 😍. This home was complete eye candy. Poor Jodee wasn’t planning on having her business headshots taken while I was there but I quickly enlisted her as a model and had her sit at her gorgeous lucite desk. I was living vicariously the entire time. So when you look at this picture please envision me behind that desk. 😉
Of course the kids each wanted to have their personal portraits taken in their bedrooms which just meant that I got to have a private tour of their gorgeous home.
The floor to ceiling windows are a photographers dream. ❤️
Each of the kiddos were so excited to show me their bedrooms. They each had cozy little niches for relaxing and reading. Perfect for quiet time but even more perfect for professional photos.
Did I mention the perfect little doggy model in the family? Doesn’t he look like a little old man in a dog suit? ❤️
