High School Senior Photography is a passion of mine and when a senior shoot goes as beautifully as this one, it solidifies my passion and makes me hungry for more. Keelyn H is a senior from Neuqua Valley High School and will graduate this year (class of 2018) and move on to the College of her dreams. She plans on studying fashion. Keelyn’s love for fashion really shows in the clothing that she selected for her senior pictures. I love the colors and style in every piece. My favorite was of course the floor length floral dress. It was just dreamy to photograph. It looks fabulous in the downtown Chicago Urban setting and equally beautiful in the greenery at the Art Institute.
Keelyn gets her love for fashion from her mom Beth who is a Cabi stylist. Together they chose clothing that would work for their Chicago high school senior session. They didn’t miss a detail. The shoes, jewelry and accessories were spot on. It was a great representation of Keelyn’s style and photographed perfectly with the deep rich urban Chicago colors.
The day started at our Chicago loft photography studio where Keelyn had her hair and makeup done by our professional hair and makeup artist Delaney Johnson from Same Lane. This is where her hair was styled, and all the perfect makeup tones were chosen to accentuate Keelyn’s beauty. After all of the fun stuff like airbrushing and eyelashes were applied, we laid out her clothing and decided what outfits would look best at each location. We felt like the deep rich tones in her clothing would work best with the jewel tones in the Chicago Loop area. So, it was time to head out and find the perfect locations. This is the fun part. Walking around in my favorite city photographing beautiful people is just a dream. I get to combine my love for photographing people and my love for architecture. It just doesn’t get better than that!
Of course, Keelyn was a natural in front of the camera. It always makes my job easier when my models are at ease. You can see in the pictures that she was completely comfortable and enjoyed every minute of her session. I was right there with her, I loved, loved, loved spending the day with both Keelyn and her mom. Every day I wake up and can’t believe that I get to spend my day with amazing people AND I get to do live my passion of photographing all the beauty that I see. Thank you Keelyn and Beth for trusting me with your High School senior pictures! It’s people like you that make it possible for me to continue living my dream because you trust in our process and my vision. We certainly made a great team! Your beauty and fashion sense combined with my vision proved to be an awesome thing!
