Jesse B from Naperville North High School is one of Alicia’s Photography senior models that traveled to New York City for her model shoot and personal senior session. Destination Senior Photography is something that we love and New York was a dream! We had such a blast scouting locations. SoHo was one of our favorites! Look how beautiful Jesse is and how comfortable she looks in front of the camera. Having her hair and makeup done by our very own traveling MUA, Delaney Johnson was a dream. Every bit of this shoot was spot on!
This years senior models were quite the dream. Six of which traveled with us to New York City. These seniors come from schools all around the Chicago area. Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Chicago, Naperville, Elgin, Barrington, Bartlett, Plainfield, Oswego, Hinsdale, Evanston, Bloomington, St. Charles, Geneva, Warrenville High Schools. Both private and public schools like Benet, Montini, St. Francis, Joliet academy, Wheaton Academy, St. Ignatius, Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Waubonsie, Metea, Wheaton Warrenville South, Fenwick, South Elgin, Plainfield, Oswego East and more. We are so blessed to have so many senior models representing such a variety of wonderful schools.
During the 8 days that we were in New York City for our shoots, we encountered a heat wave that added a little extra fun to our shoots. The heat index was 111 degrees yet we just kept on shooting. Our models were unbelievably patient and made every day so much fun.
SoHo was the location of choice for Jesse’s high school senior shoot. Every corner and every street had someplace amazing to shoot. Jesse made each one of those locations even more amazing with her ease in front of the camera.
From the cobblestone streets to the art galleries to the food carts, there just wasn’t a bad place to shoot for senior photos.
Even the subway entrances were perfect for an urban high school senior photo.
Urban photoshoots make this photographer so happy. New York is urban on steroids. Which made this my happy place!
I can’t wait to go back to New York with more of our High School Senior Ambassadors! 8 days was just not enough for this photographer.
There is so much more to capture. Maybe we will just have to open another photography studio in New York. As much as I love our studio in downtown Naperville / Chicago, New York is calling me back.
I can’t wait to post the other 7 models from our NYC shoots. Each one is so unique and shows the personality of each of the high school seniors.
From Times Square, SoHo, Brooklyn, Washington Square, Central Park and all the little place in between, I left a little bit of my heart in each of these places.
